Dakash Animal Welfare Foundation ("DAWF", "we", "us") is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we keep it safe.
Information We Collect
When you donate or contact us, we collect: your full name, email address, phone number, and PAN (if provided for 80G purposes). We also collect payment information via Razorpay - we do not store card numbers. For website analytics, we may collect anonymised usage data via Vercel Analytics.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: process your donation, issue receipts and 80G tax certificates, send you updates on animals and campaigns you support, communicate important account information, and comply with legal obligations. We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security enabled. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. PAN numbers are encrypted at the database level. We follow OWASP security practices and conduct quarterly secret rotation.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies for authentication (session management). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies by default. You can clear cookies at any time via your browser settings.
Your Rights
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, request deletion of your account (receipts retained for legal compliance), opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party processors: Razorpay (payments - PCI DSS compliant), Supabase (database hosting), Resend (transactional email), Cloudflare (CDN and image hosting), Vercel (application hosting). Each is bound by their respective privacy policies and data processing agreements.
Retention
We retain donation records, receipts, and 80G certificates for a minimum of 7 years as required by Indian tax law. Profile data is retained until account deletion is requested. Marketing preferences are applied immediately upon change.
