The Story

Story

At Dakash Animal Welfare Foundation, over a hundred rescued Gaumata depend on us including you for every single meal. They came to us from highways, slaughterhouse trucks, abandoned fields, and busy market lanes. Some were old. Some were injured. Some were no longer "useful" to those who once owned them.

Today, in our shelter, they are simply loved. But love alone does not fill a stomach. Each Gaumata needs nearly 15–20 kg of fodder a day. With 100+ cows in our care, the daily feeding bill is significant and growing as we rescue more.

Why Feeding 100+ Matters

A single rupee of Anna Daan, given to a hungry cow, is said to multiply infinitely in blessings. When you feed 100 Gaumata together, you are not just performing a charitable act, you are taking part in the highest seva known to our tradition. Mass feeding (Saamuhik Bhog) for cows is one of the most spiritually significant offerings a person can make.

What Your Support Helps Us Do

  • Daily Group Feeding (Saamuhik Bhog) - Fresh fodder portions, prepared and distributed twice a day for all 100+ rescued cows in our care.
  • Special Bhog on Sacred Days - On Ekadashi, Purnima, and festivals, sponsors can fund extra-nutritious special meals like chana, gud, fresh greens in their family's name.
  • Continuous Stocking of Fodder Reserves - A consistent supply of bhusa, green fodder, and supplements so that no Gaumata goes hungry, even on the busiest rescue days.

Our Promise

Every donation goes directly into the feeding fund. Donors who sponsor a full day's bhog receive photos and a list of Gaumata fed that day in their name or in the name of a loved one.

Your support directly funds the care listed above. Every rupee is accounted for, and you'll receive a photo update within the week.
