The Story

She was found curled in a narrow gali behind a Jaipur market, too weak to stand, with a tiny, squirming puppy pressed against her side. Locals said she had been there for days, barely eating, but never once leaving her puppy's side. When our rescue team approached, she did not run. She simply looked up, exhausted, and let us come closer — as if she had been waiting for someone to help her keep her baby alive.

We named her Khushi.

She had once had a full litter. One by one, she lost them to hunger, disease, and the street. Only one puppy survived — Ujjwal. Our vets found deep wounds, severe malnutrition, and a body pushed past its limit from weeks of feeding a puppy while starving herself. Without surgery and intensive nutritional support, Khushi will not survive long enough to see Ujjwal grow up.

But her body cannot hold on much longer.

Why Khushi's Surgery Cannot Wait

Khushi's wounds are worsening and her strength is fading fast. Every day without treatment weakens her further, and if she is lost, Ujjwal loses the only mother, and the only protection, he has ever known. Our vets have stabilised her for now, but she needs surgery and sustained care to make it through.

This is not just about saving one dog. It is about keeping a mother and her son together, and giving both of them a chance no street mother usually gets.

Your support directly funds the care listed above. Every rupee is accounted for, and you'll receive a photo update within the week.
