Story
At Dakash Animal Welfare Foundation, our gaushala is home to rescued Gaumata who once walked the highways of Jaipur in hunger, searching through plastic, garbage, and dust for something to eat. Many arrived to us weak, dehydrated, and quietly suffering. Today they are safe, but their bodies still need what every mother needs: nourishment, every single day, without fail.
Why Anna Daan Matters
In Sanatan tradition, Anna Daan — the giving of food — is considered the highest form of seva. When that food reaches a Gaumata, who cannot ask for help but silently depends on our kindness, the act becomes doubly sacred. A well-fed cow is a healthy cow; a healthy cow heals faster, fights disease better, and lives with the dignity she was always meant to.
What Your Support Helps Us Do
- Daily Dry & Green Fodder — Each rescued cow needs nearly 15–20 kg of fodder a day. Your contribution ensures the morning and evening feed never stops, no matter the season.
- Nutritional Support for Weak & Recovering Cows — Many of our Gaumata arrive malnourished. With your help we provide chana, gud, and mineral mixes that bring strength back to tired bodies.
- Feeding the Calves Born in Our Shelter — A mother who eats well can finally feed her newborn. Your seva travels from one bowl into two lives.
Our Promise
Every rupee you donate reaches a real mouth, a real cow, in our Jaipur shelter. We share weekly photo updates so you can see the Gaumata your kindness fed.
Your support directly funds the care listed on the right. Every rupee is accounted for, and you'll receive a photo update within the week.
