A few nights ago, a sudden aandhi-tufaan swept across Jaipur with a violence we had not seen in years. Within minutes, sections of our shelter roof were ripped away. The kennel walls cracked. Fencing collapsed. Water tanks overturned. By morning, what had taken us years to build was lying in pieces across the compound.

Our team has been working day and night since covering damaged areas with tarpaulin, moving dogs to safer corners, salvaging whatever can be saved. Miraculously, no dog was seriously hurt. But our shelter, the home for 200+ rescued street dogs, is broken, exposed, and unsafe.

The next rain, the next dust storm, the next cold night will be dangerous for every dog inside. We need to rebuild. And we need to do it now.

Why This Rebuild Cannot Wait

Without proper roofing, walls, and fencing, our dogs face direct exposure to sun, rain, and dust; risk of escape, accidents, and re-injury; spread of disease in damaged, unhygienic conditions; and trauma from weather and instability.

We have already started temporary fixes, but a shelter must be permanent, strong, and safe. That is what we are committed to rebuilding with your help.
